HIGH END 2008 Munich Show Exhibitors - Starts 24th April
The High End Society 2008 fair takes place at Munich’s M.O.C. A staggering 18,373 m² (60,278 ft²) of floor space will be filled with everything from vinyl albums to ultra high-end audio gear. Over 225 confirmed registrations have been received to date, with 24 countries represented. A total of 700 brands from Germany and abroad will be seen during this event.

Amazon offers $50 credit for those who purchased a HD DVD player
Following the crowd, Amazon has decided to fire off emails to folks who purchased a HD DVD player from it before February 23, 2008 in order to bestow upon them a $50 credit for their trouble. Dolby Shows Latest 46" HDR LCD Display Prototype Developed in Collaboration With SIM2
Sim2 is well known for it’s DLP technology but they have now teamed up with Dolby to produce a LCD using high-dynamic-range(HDR) technology. The prototype 46 inch LCD uses HDR technology for backlighting images using a backlight copy of the image to increase brightness where it is needed.

Freesat from the BBC & ITV - May 2008
Freesat is a joint venture between the BBC and ITV, it’s intention is to bring free programmes to UK homes without a subscription. This may also include High Definition programs for the launch in May but at this time this is unclear.
