USA manufacturer, Yurex launches Mantra 1000 Series Scalable Auto Duplication Solution

 Mantra 100 Automated Disc Duplicator

The CD, DVD and Blu-Ray duplication industry is highly competitive. There have been many manufacturers over the years who have come and gone after touting new technology that will aid and assist the in-house CD and DVD production process. One lesser known company that has stood against the tide in our rapidly changing market place is Yurex. Initially responsible for the modification and fabrication of printers for used on industrial autoloaders such as MFDigital Yurex went on to design and manufacture there very own automated Inkjet CD DVD Printer. The Mantra as it is named has proven very popular with people and companies who wish to print larger volumes of discs whilst keeping the cost of ink in check.

Thanks to the confidence inspired by their initial success Yurex have gone on to design, develop and manufacture their own standalone automated disc duplicator. The Mantra 1000 is a scalable disc production platform that will allow owner operators to connect multiple devices to expand their output as and when required.

Each Mantra 1000 module ships with 2 CD DVD burners and a 100 disc capacity gravity fed loader. The unique selling point on the Mantra 1000 duplicator is the speed with which the discs can be loaded. Yurex claim that it takes just  single second to load each disc. If the loader fails then it can be easily replaced in the field.

The Yurex Disc Duplicator offers the following features

  • Load/unload time: 1 sec
  • Operation type: Standalone
  • Capacity per unit: 100
  • Number of Drives per unit: 2
  • Disc Compatibility: CD/DVD/BD 120mm

Primera Ink, the smarter way to print with Primera Disc Printer

    primera ink

Primera disc printers and blu-ray, dvd, cd disc publishers are perhaps the most popular in the industry. Primera almost single handedly have managed to corner the market. The USA company took lexmark printer and modified them to both copy and print cd and dvd products. The company proved that it was possible to become very successful in what was a small but rapidly growing market of in house disc production. Their best selling range the Primera Bravo, Primera Bravo 2, and Primera Bravo Pro is now largely superseded by the Primera Bravo XI range. In order to keep costs down in what is now a more mature market they have streamlined their range.

One of the main revenue streams for manufacturers of printers is from the ongoing sales of inks. Primera inks are not considered to be the cheapest in the market place but when you buy a primera disc publisher you are get a great product for not a lot of cash. When investing in a disc publisher its a little like buying  a car. More money can get you a better engine with better fuel economy and lower running costs. For many individuals and companies that produce disc in-house it is the cost of the ink the that determines profitability. It has never been more true than for Primeral. Primera Ink can be expensive, which is why some people try and refill their primera ink cartridges, resulting in damage to the primera printer. Other people might try other tricks to get better economy from primera ink cartridges.

The truth is you get what you pay for. If you benefit from the low cost of primera printer then you may find you have to pay a little more for ink. You really have to do the math and work out how quickly you might recoup the initial purchase price and how many discs you will need to produce plus the cost of the ink needed to produce those discs.

Remember good design can boost your bottom line, increase profitability and increase your throughput. When using Primera Disc Publishers and Primera Ink be sure to think about the amount of colour in the design. Specifically avoid large flat filled areas of a single colour since this will impact your profitability in a big way. Just, brighter, lighter, whiter designs that obviously use less ink. This way you will print your discs fast and at the lowest possible cost. Its Simplezzz.

Burn It, Flip It, Print It with LightScribe Duplicators

~ StorDigital’s LightScribe duplicators offer easy disc burning & labelling ~

New from StorDigital the LightScribe duplicator supports silkscreen-quality disc label printing direct from a DVD and CD duplication tower.

Burning and printing large volumes of discs has never been easier, thanks to a new range of DVD and CD duplication towers from StorDigital. The new standalone LightScribe duplicators are available in configuration from 1 to 15 targets and allow users to burn and label their discs in a traditional-style standalone tower copier. This is the perfect solution for any company or individual who wants to make the best impression with their disc.

StorDigital LightScribe duplicators feature patented HP LightScribe disc labeling technology. By utilising a special disc, LightScribe duplicator operators are able to burn their discs, then flip them and then burn a label or image on to the top of the disc. By offering duplicators featuring this enhanced functionality StorDigital Systems are revolutionising the traditional in-house production process.

Nic Ranshaw (MD of CD-writer.com and CEO of StorDigital Systems) had this to say: “The introduction of our LightScribe duplicators really does represent a turning point in the way people approach disc publishing. Traditionally if a tower duplicator customer wished to produce a disc that is both copied and labeled they would have to purchase a separate printer. We have transformed the process, making production simpler and reducing expenditure.“

He added, “We don’t consider that the LightScribe system is perfect for everybody. It won’t replace our automated inkjet printers, but having a tower duplicator that can also label your discs is a strong selling point”.

StorDigital LightScribe duplicators featuring HP LightScribe technology are available now from CD-writer.com Ltd and StorDigital Systems on 0208 293 0777. To register for a CD-writer.com trade account log on to http://reseller.cd-writer.com.
